QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Bachelor’s degree (degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design preferred)
+ Three years experience in related fields (Graphic Design, Marketing, Computer Science)
+ Full knowledge of accessible web design practices (Photoshop, InDesign)
+ Experience with standards-based web development
+ Strong knowledge of database and general programming concepts
+ Strong understanding of graphic user interfaces with a focused vision on cutting-edge design
REPORTS TO: Director of Communications
JOB GOAL: Responsible for ensuring that the products, services and advertisements for PCSSD resonate with current and future stakeholders. Position will continuously monitor marketing trends and closely monitor competitive products in the marketplace. Position is also responsible for brand consistency of all marketing and advertising elements that come out of the Department of Communications.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Create, design and maintain content for the district website, which may require after-hours availability in the event of crisis communication and inclement weather.
+ Conduct market research and study educational trends in regular intervals to formulate strategies for the district to enhance the brand value.
+ Ensure all communications and advertising is on brand according to brand guidelines and style guide - within the district as well as third party vendors.
+ Share ideas to enhance the design and content creation for individual school websites.
+ Assist in strategy development and post analysis on marketing and advertising campaigns.
+ Assist in writing communication copy and proofreading for a wide range of marketing/advertising collateral.
+ Maintain a current understanding of computer technology, website construction/usage and electronic publishing.
+ Maintain familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and programming languages such as PHP, HTML and CSS.
+ Design marketing collateral for the district and for schools.
+ Approve projects that come through the district print shop that include logos or PCSSD branding (in coordination with the Executive Director of Communications).
+ Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments, especially the technology department.
+ Maintain brand guidelines for the district and schools; refresh these guidelines as needed so as to keep up with market trends.
+ Perform other duties as designed.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary Range: $35.00/hr

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board=s policy on evaluation of personnel.
