    Position Overview

    The Master/Journeyman Electrician will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across an industrial facility.

     

    This role requires advanced technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.

     

    The Master/Journeyman Electrician will support operations at the International Advanced Technology Center in Elmendorf, TX and ensure optimal performance of electrical infrastructure.

     

    This position is first shift and the hours are Monday-Friday from 6:00AM-2:30 PM

    Responsibilities

    + Diagnose and repair high and low voltage electrical systems, motors, generators, and control panels.

    + Troubleshoot AC/DC motor controls, drives, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

    + Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize uptime.

    + Design and install new electrical systems and upgrades in compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and local codes.

    + Coordinate in-house electrical repairs and capital improvement projects.

    + Lead and mentor junior electricians and apprentices.

    + Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies.

    + Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to meet project goals.

    + Prepare schematic diagrams and maintain accurate records of modifications.

    + Estimate project costs and materials.

    + Ensure compliance with MSHA standards and company safety culture.

    Minimum Requirements

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + At least five years of experience with electrical apparatus

    + Must have active Industrial Electrical License with state of Texas or a Journeyman Industrial Electrical License.

    Additional Requirements

    + Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

    + Must have organization skills and effective communication skills with both technical and professional staff

    + Must be able to observe/troubleshoot needed repairs of all types of manufacturing machines and equipment to include paint automation equipment

    + Must have the flexibility to work a rotating weekly on-call schedule

    + Must be able to work a mandatory overtime rotation schedule

    Desired Skills

     

    + Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

    + Strong knowledge of high voltage systems, PLCs, and industrial controls.

    + Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License.

    + Certifications in PPE, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, and related safety protocols.

    + Experience in manufacturing or R&D facilities industrial environments.

    + Strong communication and vendor management skills.

    + Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
