The Senior Manager Business Planning develops and delivers effective Wells and Walmart strategies and tactics in collaboration with their Wells Walmart Team Leads and internal cross functional partners to successfully achieve short and long-term objectives. The Senior Manager Business Planning owns and leads internal cross functional project management for the Walmart team, including internal review meetings, key customer meetings, and the annual planning and monthly review process. The Senior Manager Business Planning identifies and develops processes, tools, and resources needed to enable more efficient Walmart business management.
Responsibilities Include:
+ Owns daily short- and long-term project management for Walmart team, creating and managing the on-time execution of 3+ year calendar planning and project management inclusive of customer and internal strategic meetings, deadlines for pre-work and reviews, cross-functional owners, and pre-alignments from advise/inform groups.
+ Works with the VP Sales, Team Lead Branded, Team Lead Private Brands, and Sr. Manager Business Analytics, as well as internal cross-functional teams to create the strategic roadmap and materials for annual/long-term plans, ensuring overall Walmart channel plan, brand plans, and other key cross-functional plans are in alignment to meet objectives successfully.
+ Owns the internal management of the cross-functional process for developing, implementing, tracking against, and delivering Wells’ Walmart annual and long-term growth targets. Manages Wells internal monthly and annual planning process for team, including sales, trade, and forecast tracking against target, building block drivers, and R&O identification, development, alignment/approval, and post-execution tracking.
+ Develops and conducts monthly sales review materials, meetings, and presentations to drive clarity around changes in consumption and shipping trends and their impact to annual and long-term forecast, as well as owning development of opportunity and gap-closing planning, alignment/approval, and post-execution tracking cross-functionally. Ensures changes in totality are being communicated effectively to the correct cross-functional Wells teams for volume, production, and capacity planning, financial analysis, and long-term strategic impact review prior to finalization.
+ Evaluates and makes recommendations to increase the performance of both new and core products and promotional efforts with the sales team and cross-functional internal partners.
+ Owns preparation of all internal meeting material needs, as well as managing visual impact/storytelling for requested customer presentations, ensuring materials are clear, concise, and visually impactful for the target audience.
+ Creates, maintains, and socializes strategic planning calendar and process for meetings and deliverables with customer. Owns all meeting planning timelines, internal needs, pre-work deadlines, owners, communications/informs and decision requests, and content deliverables for customer meetings.
+ Develops and provides effective ongoing reporting tracking progress of key initiatives against targets. Update reporting when initiatives change to ensure status against latest key priorities is automatically available. Provide weekly updates on key changes with commentary based on analysis of drivers, including potential upcoming headwinds/tailwinds and workstreams in progress to accelerate success or stem risks.
