Internal Communications Specialist Senior

General Summary
Supports the development and execution of strategic communications initiatives that reinforce our brand and system narrative, engage a wide variety of internal audiences and support WellSpan's priorities. Crafts clear, compelling communications across multiple channels and has an ability to support high-impact projects with both strategic understanding and strong tactical execution. Contributes to an integrated, collaborative, data-driven Internal Communications Team that is known for high reliability and excellence in execution. Must be exceptional interviewers and writers, enjoy executing events, and being part of a highly collaborative, innovative, and data-driven Marketing and Communications function.
Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:
+ Plans, writes, edits and produces content for internal audiences for various communications mediums, such as the intranet, emails and social media.
+ Aids in the creative execution of internal communication activities to enhance team member engagement, including internal social content, articles, blog posts, podcasts, presentations, events, etc.
+ Supports change management plans to assess business readiness, align stakeholders and inspire action.
+ Coordinates the execution plan for special projects, special events and meetings to meet system goals and objectives.
+ Participates in assessing the quality and effectiveness of communication efforts and contributes ideas for future activities.
+ Continuously scans the internal and external environment/industry trends, understands the organization's major strategic and operating priorities and helps to identify and recommend relevant communications opportunities to support organizational change and engage team members.
+ Responsible for photography and videography of system functions and other related activities.
+ Utilizes strong project management skills to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

+ Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.

+ Assists in proofreading, writing and idea development for internal communications projects.
Travel Requirements:
+ Estimated Amount: 15% - Periodic travel required primarily for meetings, trainings, and periodic visits to clients, project sites, or system locations.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
+ Bachelors Degree In Communications, Journalism or related field. Required
Work Experience:
+ 5 years Experience in communications or related field. Required
+ Communications experience in a large, complex healthcare organization. Preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Excellent written/oral communications, interpersonal and organizational skills.
+ Strong computer skills and willingness to embrace new technology and artificial intelligence.
+ Strong journalistic writing, copyediting and project management skills.
+ Familiarity with internal communications platforms and tools (e.g., Yammer, intranet systems).
+ Strong project management and organization abilities.
