You will serve as the Senior Ultrasound
Technologist responsible for overseeing clinical operations, advanced
transcranial Doppler (TCD) testing, and laboratory training. This role performs
specialized studies-including CO₂ challenge, emboli detection monitoring,
agitated saline studies, and head-turning maneuvers-supporting inpatient,
outpatient, and research applications.
The Senior Technologist leads the quarterly
Cerebral Blood Flow (CBF) Laboratory Fellowship course and oversees laboratory
accreditation through the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of
Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL). Additional responsibilities include inventory
management, equipment calibration, and maintenance of clinical engineering
records to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
In this role, you will:
+ Support clinical research and accreditation efforts through database management, quality assurance reporting, and data integrity oversight
+ Provide hands-on training and mentorship to fellows, technologists, and visiting clinicians
+ Coordinate patient scheduling, resolve logistical issues, and collaborate across departments to ensure timely completion of studies
+ Monitor laboratory inventory, maintain equipment calibration records, and contribute to technology evaluation and procurement decisions

Qualifications
+ RDMS (RVT) - required
+ BCLS certificate from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - required
+ Graduate of CAAHAP ultrasound program - strongly preferred
+ AAS or higher in Medical Sonography - preferred
+ Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, visitors, physicians, nurses, staff and others in a professional and courteous manner
+ Ability to accept and carry out oral and written instructions accurately
+ Ability to employ independent decision making, prioritize work, while handling multiple tasks to completion within allotted time
+ Ability to show attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
+ Basic typing skills to input various data into RIS and HIS Information systems.
+ Knowledge of medical terminology with the ability to distinguish between types of procedures within the assigned department(s) and medical diagnoses
