How you create impact
The National Sea Logistics Intermodal Manager will serve as the single point of accountability for all drayage activities, bridging Detroit Operations and IMC. This role is critical to improving operational efficiency, customer experience, and cost control through structured process management.
+ Oversee and manage all drayage operations for Detroit OCC.
+ Ensure accurate pricing, clean invoicing, and standardized workflows.
+ Drive proactive communication between internal teams and external partners.
+ Monitor and improve on-time performance and reduce operational exceptions.
+ Implement processes to minimize demurrage and billing discrepancies.
+ Establish and track KPIs to measure efficiency and productivity.
+ Lead initiatives to transition from reactive issue management to structured processes.
+ Collaborate with IMC and other stakeholders to align operational goals.
What we would like you to bring
+ 5+ years of management experience in intermodal, drayage or freight forwarding
+ Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams in fast-paced environment
+ Capable of reviewing trends, identifying challenges, and creating actionable solutions
+ Excellent communication skills to proactively engage internal teams, external partners, and cross‑functional stakeholders
