RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Work with ALLETE’s Cyber Technology Services – Enterprise Architecture group, supporting work to build, improve, and promote container and automation processes following DevOps practices

+ Tasks assigned may be a mix of software development, scripting, and infrastructure systems administration activities

+ Projects may include configuring, developing, and supporting:

+ Container systems like Docker and Kubernetes

+ Automation systems like Ansible and Terraform

+ Containerized Applications built in Java, Quarkus, and Python

REQUIRMENTS:

+ Must currently be enrolled in either of the following options:

+ A two-year technical degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and December 2027

+ Network, System Administration, or Software Development preferred OR

+ A Bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2028

+ Computer Science, Business/Business Analytics, Computer Information Systems, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics preferred

+ This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude

DETAILS & DURATION OF INTERNSHIP:

+ This internship will report in person to Duluth, MN

+ This role is expected to begin January/February 2026

+ The internship will be part time during the academic term with the possibility of extending to full time during Summer, and continuing up until graduation

+ ALLETE will comply with college requirements

+ Hours and duration are subject to change based on company need
