**Location:** Kansas City, MO
Compensation & Incentives
**Pay Range:** $35.65–$47.64/hr
**Sign-On Bonus:** Available on a case-by-case basis
**Shift Differential:** $4.00/hr for Nights and Weekends
Schedule & Units
**Shifts Available:** Nights with rotating weekends
Available Units:
• Med-Surg
• Med-Surg (Ortho/Trauma)
Unit-Specific Schedules:
• **Med-Surg:** Days (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) and Nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), rotating weekends
• **Ortho/Neuro Trauma:** Full-time Nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), rotating weekends
**Nurse-to-Patient Ratio:** 6:1

Role Overview
The **RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC)** provides leadership and clinical oversight for the assigned unit during the designated shift. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting staff performance, operational efficiency, and departmental outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee unit operations and patient care during assigned shift
Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staff
Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient throughput
Monitor and evaluate quality of care and patient outcomes
Support staffing, scheduling, and labor management based on patient needs
Participate in interviewing, training, coaching, and evaluating nursing staff
Assist with performance evaluations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes
Support service recovery and a patient-first care philosophy
Ensure proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment
Support hospital initiatives related to engagement, rounding, and quality improvement
Qualifications
Required:
Active **Registered Nurse (RN)** license (Missouri or compact)
Strong **current acute care Med-Surg experience required**
• Prefer prior **Charge RN** experience in acute care Med-Surg
• Alternatively, **minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg staff RN experience**
• Experience must be current (not from several years ago)
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (RN Diploma required)
**Preferred:** Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) – within 30 days of hire
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – within 30 days of hire
Participation in professional organizations encouraged

**Pay Details:** $35.65 to $47.64 per hour
