RN Director, NICU
**Location:** Margate, FL
**Position Type:** Leadership (Non-Clinical) | Full-Time | Days | No Weekends
**Compensation:** $47.08 – $58.85 – $68.62 per hour (based on experience)
Position Summary
The NICU Director oversees daily operations of a Level III NICU, managing staff, clinical performance, patient care quality, and departmental resources. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, drives quality improvement initiatives, and supports productivity, fiscal, and patient satisfaction goals. The Director serves as a liaison among staff, physicians, patients, and families, and may provide hands-on clinical support when needed.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead and manage NICU staff performance and departmental operations
+ Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in the NICU
+ Monitor and improve patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction
+ Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and departmental workflow
+ Serve as a mentor and clinical resource to staff
+ Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications
+ Current RN license in Florida or recognized compact license
+ Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
+ Current BLS certification
+ Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
+ STABLE certification
+ Minimum 3 years NICU clinical leadership experience in an acute care setting (Level III or higher NICU preferred)
+ Recent hands-on NICU clinical experience required

**Pay Details:** $47.08 to $68.62 per hour
