    ARS is seeking a Journeyman Configuration/Data Manager to establish and maintain consistency of product performance, functional, and physical attributes with requirements, design, and operational information throughout the system lifecycle. This role supports Department of Defense (DoD) programs by managing configuration control processes, conducting audits, maintaining databases, and participating in government and industry working groups to resolve complex configuration management issues.

    Responsibilities include:

    + Establish and maintain configuration management processes to ensure product consistency throughout lifecycle

    + Support Configuration Control Board (CCB) charter development and execution of CCB activities

    + Process and track configuration changes including ACSNs, ECPs, CCPs, deviations/waivers, and deficiency reports

    + Plan and implement Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs)

    + Maintain configuration status accounting databases and records for baseline documentation and fielded systems

    + Assist with Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) development and management

    + Support deficiency reporting operations using Joint Deficiency Reporting System (JDRS)

    + Review and evaluate OEM proposals for configuration status accounting and compliance

    + Provide engineering data management support and conduct data reviews

    + Participate in government reviews, meetings, and technical interchange meetings

    + Conduct configuration management research, analyses, and studies

    + Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:

    + Must be US Citizen

    + Active Secret clearance

    + Knowledge of configuration management fundamentals and lifecycle sustainment principles

    + Experience with DoD configuration management processes and standards

    + Familiarity with Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and Data Item Descriptions (DIDs)

    + Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) data rights clauses

    + Experience with deficiency reporting systems and Material Improvement Projects (MIPs)

    + Ability to conduct configuration audits (FCA/PCA) and compliance reviews

    + Experience with government and contractor interface activities

    + Strong analytical and documentation skills

    Education Requirements:

    + Minimum: GED or High School Diploma

    + Experience: 4 years in configuration/data management profession, with 2 years specifically in DoD environment
