Job Title: Mechanical Project Engineer

Job Description

As a Project Engineer, you will provide engineering support for existing or modified products, including filter housings, filter elements, hydraulic products, diagnostic products, and PLC controlled systems. Your role will include cost estimation, sales documentation, production support for sales orders, product design development, specification of components, modification of existing products, engineering computations, prototyping, and support of new products as assigned.

Responsibilities

+ Provide engineering support for existing or modified products, including cost estimation, sales documentation, and production support.

+ Support corporate sales and marketing efforts through direct interaction with sales and marketing personnel, including direct customer interaction, sales trips, and distributor support.

+ Develop new products for commercial launch from concept through design, testing, and introduction.

+ Evaluate, improve, and certify new products for production, including creation and design review of SOPs, assembly drawings, element construction drawings, detail machining drawings, BOMs, and technical manuals.

+ Provide manufacturing engineering support for the design of new products or modification of established products based on company or customer requirements.

+ Assist in the design of new tooling, fixtures, assembly equipment, and stamping tooling as necessary.

+ Plan, coordinate, and execute assigned projects, interacting with all internal departments, suppliers, and customers.

Essential Skills

+ Mechanical engineering

+ Project engineering

+ Design using SolidWorks and AutoCAD

+ Mechanical design

+ Knowledge of PLC systems

+ Experience with bill of materials

Additional Skills

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, BSME preferred

+ Minimum of one year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

+ Experience in the fluid power industry and/or manufacturing environment is preferred

+ Knowledge of product design, project management, and schematics as applied to fluid power

+ Proficiency in ERP software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software; SAP experience is a plus

+ Fluid Power Specialist Certification required within eighteen months of employment

Work Environment

The work is conducted in a very clean and organized office environment, with a fully stocked break room offering drinks, food, and snacks. Initially, the role requires in-office presence five days a week, with the potential to transition to four days in-office and one day remote after a few months.

This is a Permanent position based out of Leetsdale, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $67000.00 - $67000.00/yr.
