    Electrical Designer

    Job Description

    The Design Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the design of various projects nationwide. Design tasks will include the creation of plans, schematics, equipment selection, load calculations, and specifications. This role requires effective and fluid collaboration with Upper-level associates to execute each project successfully. The engineer is expected to work closely with clients and project managers, ensuring project success from start to finish. Responsibilities include attending project meetings and traveling to project locations for surveys and other tasks.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist in the design of various nationwide projects.

    + Create plans, schematics, equipment selection, load calculations, and specifications.

    + Collaborate with Upper-level associates to execute projects.

    + Work closely with clients and project managers to ensure project success.

    + Attend project meetings and travel to project locations for surveys and other tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + 2–5 years of mechanical (HVAC/plumbing) design/drafting experience in buildings.

    + EIT (Engineer in Training) certification preferred.

    + Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

    + Understanding of NEC basics, circuiting, panel schedules, and lighting layouts.

    + Ability to collaborate in a multi-discipline team.

    Work Environment

    Work hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The position offers a hybrid work model with the opportunity to work from home on Fridays. The team consists of 15 members and collaborates on diverse projects, including office interiors, data centers, financial institutes, schools, healthcare, and infrastructure projects.     This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
