Job Title: Test Engineer
Job Description
The main function of a test engineer is to research and investigate the design, functionality, and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes. A typical test engineer possesses the ability to create engineering drawings and read and interpret blueprints.
Responsibilities
+ Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical devices.
+ Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine the time and cost feasibility of completing projects.
+ Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operations and make recommendations to the maintenance crew.
+ Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment, or software.
Essential Skills
+ Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, and analytical and problem-solving abilities.
+ Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and perform common computations.
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
+ Previous experience with computer applications and software related to the engineering field, such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
+ 2-4 years of experience in related fields.
+ Experience with test and validation, mechanical systems, vehicle testing, and software.
+ Experience with auto mechanics and experience with large equipment.
Work Environment
The role involves working with various test equipment and mechanical systems, particularly in vehicle testing environments. The position requires familiarity with software tools and may involve hands-on work with large equipment. The dress code and work hours will be in accordance with typical engineering roles.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Green Valley, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
