We’re seeking a skilled, detail‑oriented Electrical Designer to take a leading role in designing lighting, power, and systems packages across a wide variety of building types. From advanced electrical rooms to full-scale distribution system design, you’ll be at the center of some of our most impactful and technically challenging projects.
What You’ll Do
In this high‑impact role, you will:
+ Independently design full electrical systems using company standards, templates, and project-specific requirements.
+ Perform detailed load calculations, voltage drop analyses, and electrical distribution layouts.
+ Coordinate and develop complex electrical rooms and advanced electrical system configurations.
+ Conduct ComCheck lighting calculations to ensure code compliance.
+ Apply NEC and other codes with confidence and precision.
+ Lead project coordination efforts and manage documentation.
+ Attend project meetings and represent the company with professionalism.
+ Review shop drawings independently and provide clear, actionable feedback.
+ Offer guidance, redlines, and training to Level 1 and Level 2 engineers.
+ Help onboard junior team members and contribute to a supportive, growth‑oriented team culture.
What You Bring
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
+ 6+ years of electrical design experience.
+ Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
+ Experience preparing lighting, power, and systems design packages.
+ Deep knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and energy codes.
+ Experience mentoring junior staff and reviewing their work.
Bonus Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong professional communication and presentation skills.
+ Excellent organization and time management abilities.
+ Experience attending client meetings and coordinating with consultants.
+ EIT and PE

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $60.00/hr.
