Job Title: Electronics TechnicianJob Description
The Test Technician is responsible for the assembly, installation, testing, and repair of electro/mechanical systems. This role includes production work, handling customer returns, assisting in engineering development, collecting data, and performing various tests. Candidates should possess strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, particularly to the component level, and be adept at using hand and automated tools, as well as setting up, calibrating, and testing equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Carry out fitting, assembly, and testing of electro/mechanical/optical products.
+ Perform electro/mechanical assembly, alignment, design, and testing.
+ Complete associated documents and paperwork.
+ Check material kits for completeness and alignment with bills of materials.
+ Test assembled parts and sub-assemblies.
+ Perform final packing for Laser Radar.
+ Assemble and clean components.
+ Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized work area.
+ Submit documentation for improvements and replacement components.
+ Keep supervisors informed of unresolved or potential problems and work interruptions.
+ Provide support to the Production Supervisor on production assignments and assist in other departments as necessary.
+ Assist with other duties as required within the facilities.
+ Be conversant with current industry quality and Health & Safety requirements, especially concerning laser light.
Essential Skills
+ Troubleshooting to the component level.
+ Experience in testing and repairing electronic systems.
+ Proficiency in test design, assembly, and testing.
+ ESD safe experience.
+ Knowledge of electronics and mechanical systems.
+ Experience with LIDAR technology.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree or 2-year technical diploma or 1 year of relevant experience.
+ Experience in Metrology and/or LIDAR is desirable.
Work Environment
The facility is a state-of-the-art site located in Manassas, VA, comprising 35-40 people, including 15 engineers and 20 technicians/manufacturing staff. It features testing and manufacturing labs onsite, allowing engineers to follow their designs through the lifecycle and collaborate directly with manufacturing engineers. The work is mainly individualized, requiring comfort in taking ownership of tasks and working in a quiet environment. The technology involves high-frequency operation, and the site is unique in supporting this technology globally. The work schedule is 5 days onsite from 7 AM to 3 PM.

This is a Contract position based out of MANASSAS, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
