    Responsibilities

    + Act as the Senior Engineer on Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing (CMT) projects.

    + Manage junior engineering staff and oversee their development.

    + Prepare documents and review those prepared by junior staff, including engineering drawings, specifications, work plans, reports, and cost estimates.

    + Mentor and train staff in technical and leadership skills.

    + Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and budget estimates.

    + Manage and maintain positive client relationships.

    + Ensure risk mitigation, loss prevention, limitation of liability, and quality assurance.

    + Present technical data, including writing and publishing technical papers at professional associations and events.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.

    + Professional Engineering (PE) Licensure in Alabama, Mississippi, and/or Florida.

    + 10+ years of experience working as a Professional Engineer.

    + Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

    + Ability to develop and manage positive client relationships.

    + Successful track record of departmental or large project management.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Master’s Degree or MBA is a plus.

    + Regional technical experience is advantageous.

    + High competency with technology.

    + Strong organizational skills.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
