    Job Title: RF Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in RF systems and electrical integration for military aircraft programs. This role focuses on system-level integration of advanced RF and electronic systems into military platforms, ensuring compliance with FAA, DoD, and other regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in RF analysis, EMI/EMC compliance, and electronic warfare systems, with the ability to lead certification efforts and demonstrate airworthiness in a military environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform Electrical/Electronic Systems Analysis for military aircraft integration projects.

    + Conduct RF Analysis, including antenna co-site performance and spectrum management across low to ultra-high frequencies (including microwave).

    + Develop and execute EMI/EMC/HERP/HERF analysis and test plans.

    + Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, DoD standards, and military certification requirements.

    + Lead demonstration of compliance for airworthiness and qualification programs.

    + Integrate and troubleshoot defensive systems, electronic warfare systems, communication systems, and sensor packages on military aircraft.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system-level integration, ensuring compatibility with aircraft components and mission systems.

    + Prepare technical documentation, certification packages, and regulatory submissions.

    + Support flight testing and validation activities; travel to military installations as required.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

    + 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in aerospace or defense.

    + Expertise in RF systems, antenna design/installation, and co-site analysis.

    + Familiarity with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-704, and DO-160 standards.

    + Experience with RS-232, RS-422, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, and discrete wiring.

    + Knowledge of Electrical Load Analysis per MIL-E-7016, ASTM F2490-05.

    + Strong understanding of FAA, DoD, and military certification processes.

    + Ability to obtain security clearance.

    + Willingness to travel and work on-site at military facilities.

    + Excellent communication and documentation skills.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + DER credentials or prior experience as a Subject Matter Expert in RF/electrical systems.

    + Hands-on experience with electronic warfare systems, self-defense systems, and mission-critical avionics.

    + Familiarity with government acquisition processes

    Work Environment

    This is a full-time position where you will work hand in hand with the leadership team. The position is onsite Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Join a growing company that values collaboration and offers the opportunity to work closely with the president of the company.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooksville, FL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/hr.
