Job Title: Project Controls Cost Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to join our team for a state-of-the-art gas to power generation facility project in Bowling Green, Ohio. This is a 20-month project where you will play a vital role in overseeing cost, schedule, and reporting functions, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and profitably.
Responsibilities
+ Set up and run a cost reimbursable model.
+ Manage SPI and CPI processes.
+ Integrate and load schedules using Smart Sheets with weekly updates.
+ Conduct weekly negotiations to address change orders, manage change management, and update quantities as the design develops.
+ Emphasize heavily on tracking and forecasting.
+ Oversee tracking invoicing, truing up quantities, and updating forecasts.
+ Lead and direct the Project Controls Team.
+ Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams for accurate project setup, financial tracking, and forecasting.
+ Implement and maintain tools, procedures, and systems.
Essential Skills
+ Cost control and analysis.
+ Earned value management.
+ Experience with cost reimbursable models and construction forecasting.
+ Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of project controls experience or equivalent.
+ 3+ years of people management experience leading project controls, cost, or scheduling teams.
+ Proficiency with project tracking software and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
+ Strong understanding of cost control, scheduling, forecasting, and reporting for EPC or large-scale construction projects.
+ Experience managing large multi-million dollar projects with multiple scopes/disciplines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience working for a large Design Build or EPC.
+ Travel may be required to visit project sites.
Work Environment
The Project Controls Manager will be involved in a multi-year power plant project to provide power for data centers in Ohio. This involves working on a 20-acre lot with extensive civil and underground work, generators, and a 30-mile pipeline. The role requires working closely with sister companies and partners, overseeing 400k manhours under a tight timeline (14 months for the main project). The position can be based in Bowling Green, Brownsville, or Houston, with project sites primarily in the Midwest and Wisconsin. The workweek consists of five days, and a strong training program is available. New engineers will be partnered with a Senior Project Manager or team for training.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $95.00/hr.
