    Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

    Job Description

    Join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Engineer, focusing on process development and optimization for HVAC components and systems. Lead projects to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality using Lean and Six Sigma principles.

    Responsibilities

    + Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for HVAC components and systems.

    + Optimize workflows to reduce waste and improve efficiency using Lean and Six Sigma principles.

    + Create and maintain work instructions, sequence cards, and process documentation.

    + Lead or support projects involving equipment installation, acquisition, and production line changes.

    + Collaborate with teams such as Engineering, Quality, and Assembly to ensure smooth product launches and engineering changes.

    + Manage timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.

    + Drive projects focused on improving cost, quality, delivery, and safety.

    + Analyze production data, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

    + Conduct time studies, line balancing, and ergonomic assessments.

    + Develop strategies for equipment, layouts, and material flow to meet business goals.

    + Ensure processes meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

    + Work with Quality Assurance to resolve issues and strengthen control plans.

    + Support audits and compliance with ISO and other standards.

    + Provide hands-on support to resolve production issues.

    + Recommend tooling, fixtures, and equipment upgrades.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control.

    + Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

    + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Familiarity with ERP systems and resource planning.

    + Continuous Improvement

    + Root Cause Analysis

    + Lean Manufacturing

    + 4+ years experience in a manufacturing environment

    + Bachelor's degree in Engineering

    Work Environment

    This position requires working onsite, with time split between the manufacturing floor and office environments. The role involves hands-on engagement with production processes, fostering a collaborative atmosphere for continuous improvement.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
