Job Title: Quality EngineerJob Description
As a Supplier Technical Assistance Engineer, you will represent our client at supplier manufacturing facilities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring product launch success and maintaining current model quality. You will have the authority to make quality decisions on behalf of our client and authorize legal documents such as the Part Submission Warrant.
Responsibilities
+ Support Parts Supply and Logistics (PS&L) suppliers, quality processes, metrics, and systems.
+ Drive and manage the development of suppliers to Q1 performance levels, adhering to our client standards.
+ Lead quality process improvements within the organization and with global parts packagers and suppliers.
+ Develop a global quality metric scorecard for the Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD) Suppliers, Quality Inspection, and parts.
+ Support the development of processes, documentation, and training.
+ Demonstrate expertise in statistical production and manufacturing systems, controls, processes, assembly, and measurement systems analysis.
+ Manage supplier relationships and data tracking.
+ Support supplier capacity studies and global PS&L Quality competency and acumen.
+ Engage in special projects and process improvements.
+ Support STA and departmental metrics, including Q1, PPAP, Reject Rate, PPM, MSA, and Standards (ISO, IATF, etc.).
Essential Skills
+ Experience in Supplier Quality Engineering.
+ Proficiency in APQP, PPAP, Launch Product, Warranty Analysis, and Capacity Planning.
+ Lean Manufacturing expertise.
+ One year of experience working within a Supplier Quality capacity.
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
+ Strong knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes.
+ Strong program management and computer skills.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role where you will work remotely on Fridays and in the office from Monday to Thursday. You will be part of one of the world's largest OEMs, offering a dynamic and engaging work environment.

This is a Contract position based out of DEARBORN, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41.57 - $41.57/hr.
