Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing parts, drawings, and large assemblies using SolidWorks. You will conduct engineering analyses and simulations, support the production floor in design changes or process improvements, and collaborate with the testing department to develop and test builds. Additionally, you will manage all product-related data using an ERP system.
Responsibilities
+ Design parts, drawings, and large assemblies within SolidWorks.
+ Perform engineering analyses and simulations.
+ Provide support to the production floor for design changes or process improvements.
+ Collaborate with the testing department to develop and test builds.
+ Utilize ERP for all data management related to products.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD.
+ Experience with metals, fabricated and welded machine parts.
+ Understanding of fabrication, weldment, and GD&T.
+ Knowledge of electromechanical design.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related degree.
+ Experience in machine building, welding, or fabrication methods.
+ Targeting 3+ years of experience; co-ops and internships may be considered.
Work Environment
The majority of your time will be spent in the office, with significant collaboration with the production floor during design changes or testing phases. This role offers the opportunity to work on an exciting product line within military and defense, and there is a strong history of contractors transitioning to direct employment. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $38.50/hr.
