Job Title: SchedulerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Scheduler to develop and manage schedules for large or multiple smaller construction projects. This role involves revising and reviewing project schedules with the project team, as well as monitoring and tracking progress against defined timelines.

Responsibilities

+ Develop a thorough understanding of work breakdown structures for large or multiple smaller construction projects.

+ Adhere to company and scheduling policies, practices, and procedures by referencing the 'Scheduling Playbook'.

+ Develop relationships with project stakeholders to communicate the overall project plan and support project performance.

+ Collaborate with the project team, including engineers and superintendents, to develop project schedules based on Critical Path Method (CPM) logic using scheduling software.

+ Review and make recommendations regarding scheduling, delivery, logistics, and trade staffing levels.

+ Prepare detailed schedules by collaborating with project departments such as Preconstruction, Commissioning, Procurement, and Construction.

+ Engage with the Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team to align and coordinate schedules and models.

+ Define project schedule metrics and monitor critical path activities to achieve forecasted end-dates.

+ Create target comparison models and look-ahead schedules to provide progress updates and explain risks to project stakeholders.

+ Conduct project site progress walks to capture scheduling progress data.

+ Generate scheduling reports and summaries based on client requests or needs.

+ Provide monthly scheduling progress for Operations Review Meetings or other project review sessions.

+ Offer support and guidance to project end-users to develop proficiency in using scheduling software.

+ Participate in Business Development and Marketing activities to prepare proposal scheduling activities and related materials.

+ Develop and update cost and/or resource-loaded schedules as requested.

+ Apply continuous improvement methodology to daily tasks and Scheduling operations.

Essential Skills

+ Proficient use of scheduling software applications such as Oracle Primavera P6.

+ Knowledge of scheduling comparison tools like Acumen Fuse and Change Inspector.

+ Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.

+ Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, and trade practices.

+ Experience with large construction projects valued over $50 million.

+ Familiarity with earned value concepts and using construction resources to validate productivity.

+ Professional written and verbal communication skills.

+ Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, or a related field.

+ Four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

+ Experience in construction roles such as Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.

+ Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing demands.

Work Environment

The work environment involves working on construction sites with a focus on team culture and collaboration. Employees enjoy two weeks of paid time off, 12 holidays, and the opportunity to work in nice worksites. Limited travel may be required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
