Job Title: Stamping Engineer
Job Description
Join a dynamic Production Engineering Stamping Department as a Stamping Engineer for New/Existing Model Projects. This role focuses on leading the development and manufacture of high-quality stamping tooling, from die(s) build through die(s) handover to the NAMC’s. You will be instrumental in achieving new model processes, RJ completion, and ensuring the final vehicle quality level for all new stamping tooling.
Responsibilities
+ Lead the development and manufacturing of high-quality stamping tooling.
+ Gather and evaluate data from tooling trials and subassembly analysis to implement Die Modification Requests.
+ Review CMM measurement reports to direct die changes for panel accuracy.
+ Review QA network and thinning reports to improve die formability.
+ Visually detect surface quality imperfections and direct die improvements.
+ Collaborate with Die Maker(s) and NAMC Pilot teams to enhance die productivity.
+ Support hoshin achievement by participating in assigned activities.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering or a technical discipline or equivalent related work experience.
+ Technical writing experience.
+ Experience analyzing data from contact and non-contact measurement systems.
+ Willingness to travel to locations other than Kentucky, including international travel.
+ Experience with Stamping project processes including die structure, function, and confirmation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong experience in mechanical engineering, CAD, and mechanical design.
+ Experience in continuous improvement and manufacturing processes.
+ Proficiency in data analysis and CMM.
Work Environment
This role requires 25% overtime and 40% travel, including international travel. The position offers a flexible schedule to ensure a good work/life balance. Engineers can expect long-term contracts with opportunities for full-time positions. Benefits include 10 PTO days and 9 paid holidays per year, with time and a half compensation for hours worked over 40. All travel for contractors is arranged and managed efficiently.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
