    Summary

    The Parts and Equipment Coordinator Level 2 will support the tractor/trailer maintenance and repair function by servicing the parts, equipment, and supply needs of drivers and mechanics/technicians. They will assist with the maintenance of proper parts, equipment, and supply inventories, and maintaining work order records, along with receiving/billing and ensuring accurate storage of parts, tools, material, and equipment.

     

    Education and Experience

     

    + High School diploma and 1-2 years experience with inventory control, parts, and/or equipment management, gained through work experience or vocational training.

    + Must be self-motivated, able to multi-task and work independently.

    + Must be a team player, amenable to a variety of work projects.

    + Must be analytical with the ability to apply data.

    + Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

    + Must be proficient in responding to internal and external customer situations, responding to customer needs as required.

    + Must be able to both think creatively and provide creative contributions to projects.

    + Must be able to demonstrate a proactive commitment to ATS corporate values and the success of all staff.

    + Must have forklift certification or become certified within 90 days of employment.

    + Must be available to work occasional overtime, Saturdays, and other shift vacancies as needed

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.

    + Excellent communication skills (written, listening, and verbal).

    + Willing and able to travel infrequently, including overnight travel.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     

    + Service the parts, equipment, and supply needs of drivers, mechanics, and technicians.

    + Will look up parts on OEM websites.

    + Receive, label, put away, issue, run, and ship parts, equipment (and kits), and supplies to support the needs of the maintenance department and drivers with occasional direction.

    + Initiate, process, and complete MECs, Y-Splits, Purchase orders, and work orders with assistance.

    + Monitors inventory levels, updating part numbers in the system, performing cycle counts, addressing aging inventory, and notifying parts purchasers of out-of-stock, overstock, and/or obsolete items to ensure appropriate levels of equipment are on hand with occasional assistance.

    + Assist with the maintenance, inspection, and reconditioning of e-log devices, parts, equipment, and supply inventories.

    + Cleaning equipment out of trucks as needed, receiving assistance as needed.

    + Research, order, and communicate the availability of out-of-stock and non-stock parts with shop leadership.

    + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working space and department, including putting tools away, sweeping, and taking out refuse.

    + Ensure safety procedures are implemented and followed, including inspecting parts and equipment for safe workability.

    + Plan and schedule warehousing items as needed with occasional assistance.

    + Complete work responsibilities outside of normal business hours as needed and infrequent travel may be required.

    + Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Summary

    The Parts and Equipment Coordinator Level 1 will assist the Inventory Control Manager in the daily aspect of supporting the tractor/trailer maintenance and repair function. They will service and maintain the parts, equipment, and supply needs of drivers and mechanics/technicians, inventories, and maintain work order records. This role will also process receiving/billing and ensure accurate storage of parts, tools, materials, and equipment. The Parts and Equipment Coordinator Level 1 will assist the Inventory Control Manager in creating and maintaining proper SOPs and processes. They will also assist in training new employees, providing day-to-day direction to the team, and assist the manager with developing goals and monitoring performance.

     

    Education and Experience

     

    + A solid understanding of parts, equipment, and inventory control that is usually gained through 2-5+ years of vocational training and/or related experience.

    + Team lead or supervisory experience preferred.

    + Must have experience with inventory systems.

    + Must be self-motivated, able to multi-task, and work independently.

    + Must be a team player, amenable to a variety of work projects.

    + Must be analytical with the ability to apply data.

    + Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    + The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is between $21.50 - $31.50. Hourly pay rate offered is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications, and geographic location as compared to others doing substantially similar work. In addition to the hourly rate of pay, employees may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which can vary depending on individual and/or company performance.
