    CED San Francisco is seeking a reliable, hard-working Driver to join our team. This active, hands-on role requires strong communication, precise attention to detail, and outstanding customer service while working closely with a tight-knit team.     Drivers are responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely handling of all outgoing deliveries. This includes safe operation of company vehicles in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws; pulling and staging orders; loading and unloading delivery trucks; communicating respectfully and professionally with team members and customers; and maintaining a clean, organized work space.

    Reports to: Warehouse Manager

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Must be at least 21 years of age

    + Must have a valid and unrestricted driver's license, and an acceptable driving record from the State Bureau of Motor Vehicles

    + Must be able to pass DOT physical

    + Must have reliable means of transportation

    + Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including frequently lifting objects that weigh between 1-100lbs., sitting, standing, and moving for long periods of time

    + Must be able to work overtime, as needed

    + Authorized to work in the US, and willing to undergo background check

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Exceptional attention to detail

    + Superior organizational skills

    + 1+ years of warehouse, military, or physically active work experience

    + 1+ years of non-CDL driving work experience

    + 1+ years of department lead experience

    Working Conditions:

    + Walking, bending, lifting on a concrete floor

    + Hot and cold temperatures depending on the weather

    + Interacting with both staff and customers on a daily basis

    + Driving on roadways and jobsites in the Bay Area

     

    Supervisory Responsibilities: No

    Essential Job Functions:

    + Operate company vehicles (non-CDL flatbeds and pickup trucks) to pick up and deliver orders to customer warehouses and jobsites

    + Safely operate warehouse equipment—including forklifts and pallet jacks—to load and unload materials

    + Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting maintenance issues promptly

    + Verify that all cargo is properly loaded, secured, and documented before transit

    + Adhere to all state, federal, and DOT regulations and company safety policies

    + Assist customers & team members with loading and unloading merchandise

    + Pull, stage, and prepare orders using RF scanners and warehouse systems

    + Verify accuracy of all paperwork and movement of merchandise

    + Stage checked orders in a clear, organized manner for prompt delivery or will-call

    + Accurately record shipping and receiving activities, acquire necessary signatures

    + Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment; report any issues to management

    + Maintain organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment and vehicle

    + Provide friendly, professional customer service and communicate effectively with team members

    + Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting coworkers and taking initiative when needed

    Compensation Range:

    The compensation range for this position is $23 to $25 hourly.
