**PDS Tech Commercial** is partnering with a leader in the electronic manufacturing industry to hire a **Test Operator** who will play a critical role in the assembly, testing, and quality of advanced electronic products. This position is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing professional who enjoys working with electronics, testing systems, and precision processes while contributing directly to production quality and on-time delivery.
**Location:** Richardson, TX **| Hourly Rate:** $21.00 | **Schedule:** 1st Shift (7 AM - 4 PM)
Role Summary
The Test Operator performs moderately complex manufacturing, assembly, and testing tasks that support high-quality electronic product delivery. Working under general supervision, you will use judgment and technical knowledge to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and assemble products while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. Your work directly impacts production efficiency, product reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
+ Perform hand soldering, manual assembly, and electronic product testing
+ Set up, operate, and perform basic maintenance on semi-automatic, automated, and custom assembly equipment
+ Operate functional test units and automated testing systems
+ Move between operations or products as production schedules require
+ Inspect products using visual, automated, electronic, and mechanical inspection methods
+ Use diagnostic programs to conduct electronic and functional testing
+ Identify, troubleshoot, and communicate routine or basic defects to team leaders
+ Follow established quality, quantity, and process requirements
+ Maintain detailed, accurate, and organized production and test records
+ Support continuous improvement and demonstrate work methods to new employees as needed
+ Work safely in accordance with company and regulatory health and safety guidelines
Required Qualifications
+ High school diploma with additional post-secondary coursework, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Three to five years of relevant experience in electronic manufacturing, testing, or assembly
+ Ability to perform manual assembly and hand soldering to quality standards
+ Knowledge of electrical, electromechanical, and pneumatic systems and principles
+ Ability to inspect, test, and troubleshoot electronic products
+ Familiarity with manufacturing information systems and basic manufacturing processes
+ Ability to recognize and communicate process or component issues
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
+ Basic computer skills and ability to learn job-specific applications
+ Ability to work effectively with supervisors, team members, and internal customers
+ Ability to meet physical demands of a manufacturing environment, including repetitive motions, lifting, standing or sitting for extended periods, and exposure to noise, dust, and machinery
Preferred Qualifications
+ Site-specific technical or soldering certifications
+ Experience operating automated or semi-automated test and assembly equipment
+ Knowledge of product quality standards and quality improvement processes
+ Experience training or coaching new employees
+ Background working in regulated or high-reliability manufacturing environments

**Pay Details:** $21.00 per hour
