Position Overview
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an experienced **Flight Line Mechanic** to join our team in Mobile, AL. This role is responsible for performing functional test procedures, pre- and post-flight inspections, and preparing aircraft for test flights and delivery readiness. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills and experience working with various aircraft systems in a manufacturing or MRO environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Perform functional test procedures and pre/post-flight inspections.
+ Troubleshoot, rig, repair, and replace aircraft structures, components, and systems of moderate complexity.
+ Maintain and rework aircraft components, including landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing systems, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and ventilation.
+ Service and repair cabin interior components.
+ Prepare documentation in accordance with company procedures.
+ Perform day-to-day aircraft maintenance tasks.
+ Operate and understand a wide variety of test equipment and tooling.
+ Support aircraft operations including refuel/defuel, jacking, and towing.
Required Qualifications
+ Minimum **3 years aviation experience** , preferably in an aviation manufacturing or MRO environment.
+ **Valid Airframe License** required.
+ Ability to work a **rotating shift schedule** , including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
+ Must possess or be able to obtain a **valid passport** for unrestricted travel to Canada.
+ Vocational/Technical School credential required.
Skills & Competencies
+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to interpret technical manuals, drawings, and engineering data.
+ Proficient in using test equipment and tooling.
+ Excellent attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
