R&D Manufacturing Engineer

The R&D Manufacturing Engineer will play a critical role in supporting rapid prototype development and new product introduction (NPI) for strategic customers. This position requires a hands-on approach to manufacturing processes, tooling, scheduling, and vendor coordination to ensure fast turnaround times and exceptional quality.
Education
+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology (or equivalent work experience).
+ Minimum five years' experience in a high-speed production environment focused on CNC machining and machine setup/coding.
+ Must be proficient with computer-aided drafting CAD software packages, CREO (Pro/Engineer) preferred.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
+ Experience with ERP systems (JDE or similar) for tooling and inventory management.
+ Background in fastener manufacturing or similar high-precision components.
+ Knowledge of heat treatment, plating, and secondary finishing processes.
+ Familiarity with over-molding and plastic component integration.
+ Exposure to budgeting and capital expenditure planning.
+ Ability to create custom tooling drawings and specifications.
+ Experience improving process documentation and implementing digital tracking systems.
