• Production Material Coordinator I

    Saint-Gobain (Norcross, GA)


    A reliable Production Material Coordinator to oversee and maintain warehouse stock, along with staging products based on the needs of the production floor. Assisting with organizing and maintaining existing inventory, while effectively moving inventory and production supplies safely throughout the warehouse. Also ensuring safe and timely delivery of material by utilizing the highest OSHA safety standards.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Follow standardized work processes and adhere to safe work practices.

    + Inspect machines/tools prior to use and understand safety check list requirements.

    + Understand necessary communication for hazards/risk prevention.

    + Accurately operate and read tape measure, wrapping and banding equipment.

    + Demonstrate QC part specification knowledge and capable of checking SAP part number on packaged material vs pick tickets.

    + Understand necessary communication when non-conformities exist.

    + Understand schedule (written / SAP)

    + Pull correct material based off Job Travelers

    + See what location is assigned

    + Find and identify correct materials

    + Stage material at-appropriate-location physically

    + Preform the staging of material steps in SAP

    + Transfer finished goods from PSASTAGE into racks

    + Use warehouse monitor to find like items and store together

    + Clear Production floor of material

    + Label if needed

    + File Documents

    + Perform cycle counting when necessary

    + Safely operate powered industrial equipment.

    + Good attendance and able to work overtime when necessary.

    + Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

    + Maintaining a clean and organized workplace on a daily basis (5S standards).

    + Understand companywide and department metrics and plan work according to meet those goals.

    + Works closely with Fabrication Supervisor to monitor supply levels and submit purchasing recommendations on a regular basis

    + Performs material consumption inputs into SAP for department production orders and closes all department production orders after completing a final review for accuracy.

    + Move and disposes of scrap material properly while following warehouse safety regulations.

    + Provide suggestions and Ideas to continuously improve safety, quality and processes.

    + Maintain assigned lines in a clean an orderly condition, following all safety policies and procedures including CertainTeed practices to meet company standards.

    + Keeps the flow of the process moving in a steady pace.

    POSITION DETAILS

    + 1st shift, 5am – 3pm, Mon-Thu

    + $21.00/hr. paid weekly

    + Eligible for benefits on the first day of hire.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + HS Diploma is required

    + 3 years working in a warehouse or production environment is required

    + Forklift certification for 3 years is required
