About this Job
The Mission of the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement (LCLE) is to improve the operations of the criminal justice and juvenile justice system and promote public safety by providing progressive leadership and coordination within the criminal justice community.
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in criminal justice policy and program administration to manage statewide truancy and human trafficking initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses the analytical skills to interpret complex data and the legislative insight to ensure programs remain compliant with evolving state and federal regulations. You should be a skilled communicator capable of collaborating with state officials, managing grant lifecycles, and providing the technical assistance necessary to drive corrective action and program success.

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Three years of experience in criminal justice, policy planning or analysis, law enforcement, legal research, contracts or grants management, statistical analysis, or program auditing; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Directs the statewide Truancy Assessment Service Centers (TASC) and Human Trafficking programs, ensuring all initiatives comply with state regulations and statutory requirements.
Gathers and interprets complex criminal justice statistics to identify trends in truancy, delinquency, and trafficking, using these findings to develop actionable work plans and policy recommendations.
Manages the full lifecycle of TASC grant applications and assists the Crime Victims Reparations program by reviewing claims for forensic medical exams and emergency awards.
Monitors and tracks state and federal legislation to assess its impact on criminal justice programs, ensuring long-term compliance and operational alignment for the LCLE.
Conducts rigorous evaluations of funded projects, documenting deficiencies and collaborating with agency heads to implement corrective actions and provide technical assistance.
Acts as a primary liaison to state and local officials, providing expert training and preparing comprehensive annual reports for stakeholders and the Commission on Law Enforcement.
