Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Process and manage all administrative functions related to the licensing and certification of long-term care and non–long-term care healthcare providers across a wide range of programs regulated by the Health Standards Section (HSS).
+ Serve as the front-line point of contact for providers, responding to inquiries by phone, email, and mail regarding licensing, certification requirements, program operations, and regulatory processes.
+ Review, verify, and process initial and renewal licensing and certification packets, including monthly renewals, key personnel changes, bed and capacity changes, and facility licenses, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
+ Maintain detailed records, logs, and files by performing extensive data entry and tracking activities across multiple HSS databases and physical records systems.
+ Prepare and distribute official correspondence, monitor and process payments, and bill and collect fees in accordance with established state and federal requirements.
+ Apply expert knowledge of medical terminology, HSS procedures, and state and federal regulations to prioritize workload, meet strict timelines, ensure compliance, and handle high-volume, detail-oriented tasks in a fast-paced environment.
