We’re looking for a Mechanic 1/2/3 to join our Fleet Division—a proactive, people-focused team working to attract and support the talent that drives our mission forward. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient operation, supervision, and maintenance of our fleet and mechanical assets. Assists and completes in-take of new vehicles. Will assist the parts room at Fleet, dealing with inventory.
Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience or training as a mechanic.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
* Performs entry level repair/maintenance and inspection related activities on vehicles and heavy construction equipment.
* Assists higher level mechanics in working on a variety of mobile equipment and vehicles.
* May also be responsible for repair and maintenance of equipment powered by small internal combustion engines such as: lawnmowers, string trimmers, outboard motors, etc. Tasks may include spark plug replacement, carburetor cleaning, starter repair, and filter replacement.
* Removes and cleans fuel tanks.
* May maintain inventory of tools, instruments, and supplies.

Appointment Type:Probational, Job Appointment, or Promotional
Career Progression: This position does participate in a Career Progression Group.
Work Schedule:Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. The bi-weekly rate for these positions are as follows:
Mechanic 1 (WS-210) - $1,374.40
Mechanic 2 (WS-212) - $1,573.60
Mechanic 3 (WS-213) - $1,684.00
