About this Job
The Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) is seeking a motivatedExecutive Staff Officer to join the Executive Division. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer for various projects and assignments related to the DWH oil spill, Natural Resources Damage Assessment (NRDA), National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), Resources and Ecosystems Sustainability, Tourist Opportunities, and Revived Economies of the Gulf Coast States Act (RESTORE Act), and all CPRA Grants/Awards. This position will also provide administrative support to the Executive Division staff and will have delegated authority from the Executive Director to handle grant-related approvals and responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Six years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus three years of experience in administrative services; OR
A bachelor’s degree plus three years of experience in administrative services; OR
An advanced degree, or a Juris Doctorate, plus two years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Supports Executive Leadership in administering CPRA’s Deepwater Horizon (DWH) Oil Spill Program by coordinating NRDA, RESTORE Act, and NFWF activities; representing CPRA in interagency meetings; preparing and managing required documentation, approvals, contracts, grants, budgets, and administrative records; and ensuring compliance with the Oil Pollution Act and applicable state and federal regulations.
+ Provides comprehensive administrative coordination for grant awards by managing applications, awards, reporting, system access, and closeout; maintaining accurate records and tracking tools; reviewing and processing grant documents and amendments for compliance; monitoring deadlines and issuing reminders; and exercising delegated authority to submit and sign grant-related documents within online grant management systems.
+ Serves as Timekeeper by ensuring accurate and timely payroll entries in CATS; monitoring compliance with CPRA timekeeping procedures; advising supervisors on discrepancies; and providing guidance and training to staff on agency payroll policies, time sheets, and related documentation.
