Grambling State University is currently seeking a fulltime qualified Horticultural Attendant Leader to work in the Facilities Management department.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience or training in farming, the care and maintenance of trees and shrubs, or groundskeeping; OR
Twelve semester hours in a plant science or landscape field of study.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Assist the Grounds and Landscaping Manager with directives
+ Operates riding mower House power 35 1/2 Bush Hog front end loader
+ Trim Hedges, edge sidewalks, blow off sidewalks and weed eats
+ Spray herbicides, fertilize grounds and flower beds, straw beds and remove flowers
+ Operates chain saw, prune trees, remove brush and fallen limbs, remove dead animals
+ Operates light and heavy, horsepower 65-85, tractors
+ Other duties as assigned
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational
Career Progression: Not eligible
Work Schedule: Work hours are 7:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Thursday and 7:30 am - 11:30 am on Fridays
Compensation: This position is eligible for the minimum hire rate
