About the role

We are seeking a ServiceNow Developer with Business Analyst skill set to support ServiceNow platform development, configuration, and client-facing requirement analysis at our client site in Foster City, California. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ServiceNow IRM, HR Service Delivery, scoped applications, and integrations, along with strong analytical and communication skills.

In this role, you will:

• Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules, including:

o Integrated Risk Management (IRM / GRC)

o HR Service Delivery (HRSD)

o Custom Scoped Applications

• Design and implement ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and MID Servers

• Create and maintain business rules, workflows/flows, client scripts, UI policies, and ACLs

• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements

• Translate business requirements into ServiceNow technical solutions and designs

• Participate in onsite client meetings, workshops, and solution design sessions

• Prepare functional specifications, technical documentation, user stories, and process flows

• Support testing, deployment, upgrades, and post-production support

• Collaborate with senior developers, architects, QA, and project managers

• Ensure solutions comply with ServiceNow best practices, security, and governance standards

Work Model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Foster City, CA.

What you need to have to be considered

• 1–3 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience

• Experience with ServiceNow IRM (GRC) and HR Service Delivery (HRSD)

• Good experience in developing custom scoped applications

• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow integrations (REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub)

• Proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting

• Strong business analysis skills, including requirement gathering and documentation

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work onsite at the client location in Foster City, CA

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• ServiceNow CSA, CAD, or module-specific certifications (IRM, HRSD)

These will help you stand out

• Experience with MID Server configuration

• Knowledge of ITIL, GRC, or HR processes

• Prior client-facing or consulting experience

• Experience with Flow Designer, Performance Analytics, or Reporting

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 1/30/25.

The annual salary for this position is between $65,000 - $94,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
