    Direct Care Supervisor – Emergency Shelter

    Amergis Healthcare Staffing is working with a respected non-profit organization in Haverhill, MA to fill a supervisory Direct Care position at their emergency shelter for homeless adults. This fast-paced facility serves over 40 individuals nightly and is seeking a committed, supportive, and energetic individual to join their team.

    Position Details

    + Location: Openings in Haverhill, MA and Lawrence, MA

    + Facility Type: Emergency Homeless Shelter

    + Schedule: Sunday – Thursday, 3:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.

    + Duration: 13 weeks to start, with strong potential for extension

    + Pay Rate: $23–$25/hour (based on experience)

    Key Responsibilities

    + Supervise Direct Support Professionals to ensure high-quality care

    + Provide ongoing training and development for staff

    + Oversee implementation of individualized support plans

    + Manage schedules, documentation, and policy compliance

    + Serve as a liaison between staff, clients, and families

    + Address challenges and problem-solve as needed

    Qualifications

    + Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience preferred (not required)

    + Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred (not required)

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

    + Valid driver’s license

    + Must pass CORI and driving record checks

    + Physically able to walk stairs and lift/move up to 30 lbs

    + Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
