CTG is seeking to fill a Document Custodian Vault Analyst opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.
**Location:** Buffalo, NY
**Duration:** 3 months, high potential for extension to long term
**Job Type:** Hourly Contract
**Hours** : 8 am to 5 pm, M-F
**Pay:** $18/hr
Location is Downtown Buffalo on Seneca Street
Overview:
We are seeking an exceptionally detail-driven Document Custodian Vault Analyst to support our client’s documentation, records management, and custodial vault operations. This role is ideal for an independent worker who thrives on accuracy, organization, and structured processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Review, validate, and track incoming and outgoing mortgage and loan documents within the custodial vault.
+ Perform comprehensive document audits to ensure completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
+ Maintain up-to-date document records, status updates, and exception reporting using Excel and internal tracking systems.
+ Process document requests, releases, certifications, and file movements in accordance with established procedures.
+ Support quality control activities and escalate discrepancies or issues as needed.
+ Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of document-related exceptions.
Scope of Responsibilities:
+ Handle sensitive and confidential documents with absolute accuracy and discretion.
+ Manage daily workflow independently while meeting strict timelines.
+ Contribute to document process improvements and procedural adherence.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
+ None.
Education and Experience Required:
+ Strong proficiency in Excel (sorting, filtering, managing large datasets, and basic formulas).
+ Demonstrated ability to work independently with precision and consistency.
+ Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
Education and Experience Preferred:
+ Prior experience in document custody, records management, financial services, or vault operations.
+ Familiarity with loan documentation, collateral files, or document auditing.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
