Required Education/Experience

+ Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Construction Management or other applicable technical field and Eight Years of applicable experience that includes six years of construction, engineering, or survey experience in electric, gas, steam or underground/subsurface infrastructure.

+ Master's Degree Engineering, Construction Management or other applicable technical field and Six Years of applicable experience that includes six years of construction, engineering, or survey experience in electric, gas, steam or underground/subsurface infrastructure.

Relevant Work Experience

+ Working knowledge of Contract Administration, cost controls, and operating budgets is required.

+ Strong knowledge of resource allocation and budgeting is required

+ Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and contract negotiation skills is required.

+ Well organized, detail oriented, and ability to handle multiple project assignments on an ongoing basis is required.

+ In-depth knowledge of the complexities of Con Edison's electric, gas, and steam systems, including associated municipal underground utility infrastructures is preferred.

+ Experience managing technical personnel (union and management) is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

+ Driver's License Required

+ Professional Engineer (PE) Preferred

Additional Physical Demands

+ The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

+ Must use their personal vehicles and transport, store, and secure company laptop computers and other job-related equipment in the vehicle. Reimbursement for use of a personal vehicle is available through the company mileage procedure.
