    **BayCare** is currently in search of our newest **Acute** **Speech Therapist** who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. **St. Joseph’s Hospital** is well known for its advanced medical technologies and outstanding patient care, with more than 70 specialties represented among our medical teams.     Acute Care Speech Therapist Pool Responsibilities:

    + Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing impairments in an acute care setting.

    + Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.

    + Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure coordinated care.

    + Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.

    + Educate patients and families on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.

    + Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to discharge planning.

    Requirements:

    + CCC-SLP (Speech Language Pathology)

    + BLS (Basic Life Support)

    + Speech Therapy License

    + Required Master's Speech Therapy

    + 1 year Clinical Related is preferred

    Shift Hours:** **4 (10 hr) shifts Tues-Fri or Wed - Sat (preferred)

     

    Shift = Days
