    Role Overview

    As a **Histologist** , you will:

    + Perform all phases of tissue processing from fixation to final slide

    + Prepare and apply special stains and techniques

    + Perform **frozen section procedures** accurately and efficiently

    + Maintain files, records, and documentation required by state and federal licensing boards

    + Clean and maintain equipment and instruments

    + Stock and maintain supplies

    + Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • **Education**

    + **Required:** High School Diploma or GED

    + **Preferred:** Technical Program Completion or Associate’s Degree in Histotechnology

    • **Experience**

    + Laboratory-related experience preferred

    + **Frozen section experience required**

    • **Licensure/Certification**

    + ASCP Certified Histotechnician (Required)

    + ASCP Certified Technologist in Chemistry (Preferred)
