Summary of Position with General Responsibilities:

+ This position assists with engineering activities and performs tasks associated with those activities.

Essential job Functions:

+ Assistsin the generation of formal test protocols and reports

+ Assistsin the execution of test protocols and procedures. Sets up andoperatestest equipment and records measurements with limited supervision

+ Maintainsaccuratedata and organizes and presents data in a reportable format

+ Provides process/test method training to manufacturing/QC personnel

+ Develops andmaintainsa working knowledge of BD policies and procedures and ISO and FDA requirements

+ Must be able to work in a biohazard environment andcomply withsafety policies and procedures outlined by BD policies

Basic Qualifications:

+ Proficiencyin personal computer software,especially MicrosoftWord and Excel

+ Ability to work in a team

+ Good communicationskills (written/verbal)

+ Ability to integrate written and verbal instructions; work under supervision

+ Basic organizational and math/statistics skills

+ Basic knowledge of standard laboratory practices

+ Ability to collect,recordand report data accurately. Detail oriented

+ Technical writingproficiency

+ General competence with testing and manufacturing equipment

+ Task oriented

+ The incumbentis responsible forassistingin system assurance including documentation, testing and inspection, product and process development, and non-conforming product investigations.

+ Will assist in the support of Manufacturing, New Product Development and Regulatory to ensure systemsare in compliance withall internal and external guidelines.

+ Will also work on product failure and root cause investigations.

Education and/or Experience:

This position requires:

+ Associate's Degree in science, math or engineering OR

+ Minimum of (4) fouryearsrelated experience

+ The incumbent must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the duties and responsibilities.

Physical Demands:

This position is in an office and laboratory environment and requires the incumbent to sit, stand and perform general office functions. The incumbent may also be required to lift up to twenty five pounds occasionally. The incumbent may be required to stand for extended periods of time. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
