    Role Overview

     

    The Manager of Corporate Communications will support the implementation of internal engagement plans and craft compelling communications content that supports BD’s commercial strategy. By aligning messaging, storytelling and collaborator engagement, this role will help drive employee engagement and a customer-centric narrative to support the company’s focus on accelerating growth. This individual will lead content creation for a range of primarily internal audiences across BD’s commercial organization and support the execution of communications strategies that drive commercial excellence and enhance internal initiatives across the organization to drive strategic customer engagement and revenue growth.

     

    The manager will be a strong writer with a background in internal communications and employee engagement, with experience in message development for use across multiple internal channels.

     

    Reporting to the Senior Director of Executive Communications, this individual will collaborate with colleagues across BD to develop impactful communications tools and messages that support strategic customer priorities and commercial objectives.

     

    This role is based at our Franklin Lakes, NJ World HQ.

    Primary Responsibilities

    + Support the communications needs across the Chief Revenue Officer’s organization, including writing and editing content and messaging for use in town halls, video scripts, associate emails, digital content and customer engagement materials.

    + Support the tactical execution of communication initiatives that help inform, inspire and empower the BD sales force in advancing customer partnerships and driving growth.

    + Partner with communications colleagues to shape content that drives associate engagement in the commercial organization and awareness and understanding of the elevated commercial tools and technology available to enhance strategic customer engagement and commercial performance.

    + Drive content that enables strategic customer interactions to ensure consistency and alignment with enterprise messaging and communications.

    + Analyze communications metrics, develop reports and make recommendations to adapt plans for the greatest impact.

    + Collaborate with members across corporate communications, as well as other critical functions, to implement the communications strategy in support of the Revenue Office in alignment with broader BD corporate messaging.

    + Come to work with an interest in bold and creative thinking in how we reach large audiences with fresh and engaging content.

    Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

    + Bachelor’s Degree required - preferably in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Business or related field.

    + 5+ years in corporate communications with expertise in internal/external communications for a publicly traded health care company, regulated industry, communications agency or global brand.

    + Confirmed ability to develop and implement internal communications strategies, lead employee engagement initiatives and handle leadership messaging across a matrixed organization.

    + Experience developing and leading internal communications programs, employee engagement initiatives and leadership communications, including message development, content management and strategic internal communications approaches.

    + Exceptional writing, presentation and social skills; confirmed ability to craft strategic narratives and handle multiple channels (presentations, intranet, video).

    + Strong project management, business insight, creativity and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment often under tight deadlines.

    + Writing samples may be requested.
