THE POSITION
The Milk Board is on the lookout for a skilled, reliable, and highly motivated Attorney to join their team, providing essential legal support and guidance to the Board Staff. This role is crucial in ensuring that the staff can effectively and efficiently implement and uphold the statutes and regulations that the Board oversees. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Staff Attorney, your primary role will involve providing legal counsel to Board Staff regarding the interpretation and application of various laws, including the Milk Marketing Law, the Milk Marketing Fee Act, and the Milk Producers' Security Act, along with Board regulations and Official General Orders. You will play a crucial role in guiding investigatory processes to ensure that the presentations made to the Board for prosecutions are thorough and well-founded. This includes reviewing prosecution referrals from Board Staff, issuing citations when warranted, engaging in settlement discussions, and representing cases before the Board. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring compliance with Board orders and any negotiated settlements, ensuring that all legal proceedings are conducted effectively and in accordance with established legal standards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
+ Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 2 days per week, with the possibility of up to 4 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ Two years of professional legal experience and graduation from an accredited school of law; or
+ An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Post Employment Requirement:
+ You must be certified for admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and must maintain membership on a continuous basis during employment.
Additional Requirements:
+ You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
+ Experience working independently preparing and representing clients in administrative and appellate proceedings
+ Experience with regulatory or statutory drafting
