Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex program and project management initiatives in support of the U.S. Coast Guard. This position will be located in Alexandria, VA and will be a hybrid remote role.
Responsibilities
The Project Manager will provide expert-level support to develop and maintain organizational structure, operational processes, and clear decision-making roles aligned with business objectives. Key responsibilities include:
+ Project Planning & Coordination: Create and maintain project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS); manage enterprise schedule and critical path analysis.
+ Business Intelligence & Automation: Design and automate data ingestion pipelines for BI platforms; engineer and maintain automated reporting and analytical dashboards using Power BI; track and analyze data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
+ Financial Management: Manage financial budgetary information; provide financial advisories and ROI analysis; serve as the SME for financial management across the program.
+ Workflow Automation: Automate processes using Power Platform apps (Power Automate, Power Apps); maintain Power Platform configurations and oversee data lifecycle and dissemination.
+ Governance & Milestone Support: Draft, analyze, and recommend milestone documentation; provide expert recommendations to USCG representatives regarding milestone decisions to ensure project success.
+ Program Management Improvements: Recommend cost-saving initiatives; develop and implement risk management strategies; track process performance and maintain a technology roadmap.
+ Stakeholder Engagement: Assist with program support for meetings, develop project schedules, and foster collaboration across IT, security, finance, HR, and operations teams.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's with 8+ years of IT Project Management experience (or commensurate experience)
+ 10–12+ years of progressive experience in IT program/project management or PMO leadership
+ Clearance Required: Must be clearable up to an active Secret clearance
+ PMP certification is preferred

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Posted Salary Range
USD $108,310.00 - USD $158,000.00 /Yr.
