    Type: Contract To Hire

    Compensation: $25 - $30 per hour

    Contractor Work Model: Requires onsite 5 days per week in either Sea Girt, NJ or Bridgewater, NJ. Remote or hybrid work is not available.

     

    Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

    About our Sales Support Associate Opportunity:

    We manufacture and sell customized steel product used in industrial and commercial construction. This is a full time “sales support” role suited for a recent college graduate or someone with entry-level sales experience and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Onsite work is required. Training on our ERP and software is provided. Significant investment will be made developing this person in this role to learn our processes, workflow, and will integrate into communicating with our customers. We are not an executive office; we are a blue-collar steel manufacturer, and we take great pride in the work we do and the product we produce. We make large and small bridge components, pieces for skyscrapers and other steel items and products.

    Sales Support Associate (industrial steel) Job Duties:

    + Responsible for providing overall sales support to our VP of Sales, and selected sales team members as well as the responsibility for assigned customer accounts.

    + Support and Aid selected sales team members in areas of order entry, reports/lists, customer communication

    + Assist with Sales quotes. This includes learning how to review customer drawings, reviews cut parts from steel plate and uses this information to generate sales quotes

    + Interacts with customers on questions, updates customers on order status, progress of work, delays, etc.

    + Communicates with Sales Team Leader and Sales Reps regarding any updates to customer drawings, work orders or change orders, as needed.

    + Ensure all customer orders are given prompt attention and recognize the priorities to enable accurate scheduling consistent with customer demand, customer satisfaction, and objectives.

    + Participate in Sales training. Develops working understanding of our product line and manufacturing processes.

    Sales Support Associate (industrial steel) Requirements:

    + Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field such as Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Economics, etc.

    + Excellent oral and written communications skills

    + Good problem-solving skills and strong initiative / “can do” attitude

    + Strong computer skills including using MS Excel spreadsheets, email and regularly talking on phone or MS Teams with customers

    + Good interpersonal skills, phone manners and the ability to work with others

    + Good organizational, planning and time management skills

    + Excellent computer skills, including comprehensive

    + Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.

    + Ability to read and decipher blueprints, a plus

    + Prior experience with DraftSight, and/or ProNest is a plus, but not required
