The Spencerport School District is currently accepting applications for a probationary Special Education Teacher at Spencerport High School.Appointment: Full-time; probationary. The 2025-26 assignment is a consultant teacher in Earth Science, with Resource Room and Learning Lab.Required Credentials: N.Y.S. teacher certification- Special Education 7-12, successful prior teaching or student teaching experience, knowledge of N.Y.S. Learning Standards, collaborative team member, and technologically proficient.Preferred Credentials:
+ Knowledge of Committee on Special Education process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal writing, implementation and progress monitoring. General knowledge of elementary and secondary curriculum and instruction.
+ Experience with providing special education students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth in the least restrictive environment.
+ Experience with developing and/or modifying curriculum, preparing lessons and providing specially designed instruction to address individual student needs.
+ Experience with establishing and maintaining open communication with parents, students, teachers and other relevant stakeholders.
