    Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Lead with expertise in logistics management, communications security (COMSEC), and adherence to Air Force standards to support a Department of the Air Force Command, Control, Communications Battle Management (C3BM) office. In this role, the selected candidate will ensure total asset visibility for Government Furnished Property (GFP), oversee shipping and receiving logistics, manage COMSEC documentation, and develop provisioning strategies for spares and consumables. Key responsibilities include acting as the focal point for logistics support, maintaining inventory accuracy, and contributing to the development of training materials and technical reports. This position plays a critical role in supporting mission readiness by providing proactive customer support, ensuring compliance with military instructions and industry standards, and delivering key program deliverables. This position is contingent upon contract award, with hybrid in-office in Arlington, VA and remote work available.

Key duties include logistics management, ensuring the effective packing, handling, storage, and transportation (PHS&T) of resources aligned with military standards, and maintaining accurate GFP inventory throughout the life of the contract. On the COMSEC management side, the candidate will serve as the Controlling Authority for Keying Material (KEYMAT), ensuring compliance with Air Force instructions like AFMAN 17-1302-O, safeguarding systems against electrostatic discharge, and managing detailed COMSEC documentation. The role also involves supply chain management, including developing provisioning plans based on operational data and updating spare part inventories to align with design evolutions and mission needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with leadership capabilities, technical expertise, and a commitment to ensuring mission-critical compliance and operational excellence.

    Qualifications

US Citizenship and an active secret clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline, or possess equivalent relevant experience. Candidates must have experience managing Government Furnished Property (GFP) and working within military logistics frameworks. Proficiency in COMSEC documentation and handling, with experience acting as the controlling authority for KEYMAT, is essential. A thorough knowledge of relevant military standards, including MIL-STD-129R, MIL-STD-2073-1E(1), MIL-STD-1686C, and MIL-STD-1366E, is required, along with familiarity with AFMAN 17-1302-O and approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The ability to produce technical reports and ensure compliance with deliverable requirements such as CDRLs is also critical. Additionally, candidates should have a detailed understanding of provisioning data requirements, including the data analysis necessary for maintaining and ensuring operational readiness of spares and consumables.

**Desired Qualifications:** A Master’s Degree in Logistics, Quality Assurance, or a directly related field is highly preferred. Candidates with prior military or Department of Defense (DoD) experience in logistics and COMSEC operations are strongly desired. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional logistics teams in high-pressure environments will set candidates apart, as will proficiency with software tools for asset visibility, logistics reporting, and inventory management. Certifications in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Quality Assurance, such as CLTD, PMP, or Six Sigma, will also enhance the candidate’s qualifications.
