    The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Lab Services provides executive leadership and strategic oversight for system-wide laboratory operations, including clinical laboratories, pathology services, and specialized diagnostic programs. The AVP ensures high-reliability operations, clinical quality, regulatory compliance, fiscal stewardship, and an exceptional service experience for patients, providers, and internal partners. This role serves as a key advisor to senior executives, collaborates closely with physician partners, and advances system strategies related to access, technology modernization, workforce planning, and operational efficiency across all lab service lines.

     

    *Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:*

    * Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or a related field (e.g. Biology or Chemistry).

    * Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in clinical laboratory operations within a large, integrated healthcare system or reference laboratory.

    * Proven success in leading multi-site, high-volume core laboratory operations.

    * Demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance, process improvement, and strategic project implementation.

    * Experience managing large operational budgets and vendor contracts.

    *Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:*

    * Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related discipline.

    * Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) by ASCP or Diplomate on Laboratory Management by ASCP or equivalent.
