    This is a per diem/casual position working 10-hr day shifts on varied weekdays, generally from 7:30am-6pm. Training will be full time hours for about 4 weeks. Located at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines in La Jolla but required to travel to other sites as needed.

    * The department consists of 25 chairs and do an average of 55-70 cancer treatments including oncology infusions and supporting treatments.

    * The care team includes charge and resource nurses and resources, and you will work in close contact with the clinic provider and their team.

    *What you'll do: *

    * Perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures, medication administration, chemotherapy/biotherapy administration as appropriate.

    * Educate patients and document patient interactions.

    * Practice infection control.

    * Contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within own scope of practice

    *Required Qualifications:*

    * ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate.

    * Completion of accredited RN program.

    * Minimum 1 year RN experience.

    * Current CA RN license.

    * Current American Heart Association BLS certificate.

    * Direct experience administering IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

    *Preferred Qualifications:*

    * 1 or more years RN experience in an outpatient Oncology setting.

    * Excellent IV skills and experience with central venous catheters.

    * Outpatient chemo infusion experience.
