La Jolla is the area's largest Level I Trauma Center, and as part of our laboratory, you will be an integral part of our frontline, fast-paced care.

As Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day laboratory operations at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. Additionally, you will participate in system committees regarding laboratory services and improvements. Other duties include conducting performance evaluations, overseeing regulatory requirements, CAP inspection and Joint Commission preparation, collaborating with multi-disciplinary leaders, performance improvement metrics, staffing and budgeting. The Laboratory Manager will directly oversee all lab supervisors and leads for a total of about 12 individuals. This position is ideal for an experienced CLS who thrives under pressure and is looking to make a difference.

* Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

*Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:*

* Bachelor's degree plus 5 years experience in a laboratory, at least 1 of which in leadership

*Required Certification/Registration:*

* CLS certification

*Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:*

* Master's degree preferred
